Welcome

Shobu Kai Karate Club was founded in 2004 and is a member of the Karate Union of Great Britain (KUGB), consisting of over 300 clubs and 11,000 students throughout the UK, all of whom practice Shotokan Karate.

The KUGB is a non-profit making organization and is affiliated to the European and World Shotokan Karate Associations.

Shobu Kai Karate Club instructors have a great deal of experience in teaching students of all ages and abilities and hold classes for beginners to Black Belt standard. The club also regularly participates in training courses and competitions within Scotland and elsewhere throughout the UK.
GKA Open Shobu-Ippon Championships success

At the recent Glasgow Academy Open held at Kirkintilloch Leisure centre, Sensei Adam Sutherland triumphed in the Senior Men's competition and Sensei Conor Sutherland was Runner-up in the Junior Men's section.
